The Buy box lets you describe the deals you want to see, then use that description when Lev screens an inbound opportunity or answers a fit question. Open the account menu from the company name in the sidebar, select Settings, then select Buy box under Workspace collaboration. You can write the mandate yourself, or have Lev Agent generate and update it. Screening compares each opportunity with the buy box you save here.
What a buy box is
A buy box is the written mandate Lev uses when it decides whether an opportunity fits. It lives on the Buy box page in Settings. Lev screens inbound opportunities against that description so a recommendation can separate a fit from everything else in Inbox.
Click Write directly and describe the markets, asset types, sizes, and other limits you care about, then save. Click Generate with Lev Agent when you want a draft instead, and review the text before you rely on it. A saved buy box stays on the page until you edit it or update it with Lev Agent.
Write your buy box
Write the mandate in your own words, then save it on the Buy box page.
- Open Buy box — Open the account menu from the company name in the sidebar, select Settings, then select Buy box.
- Write the mandate — Click Write directly, then describe the deals you want to see.
- Save — Click Save.
Save stays unavailable until the text changes. Cancel closes the editor and drops unsaved edits. Selecting a saved buy box opens the same editor.
Generate or update with Lev Agent
Lev Agent can draft a buy box from an empty page, or revise the one you already saved.
- Generate from an empty page — Click Generate with Lev Agent.
- Describe what to include — The chat opens on Generate my buy box with the following:, so add the rest of the mandate and send the message.
- Update a saved buy box — Click Update with Lev Agent. The chat opens on Update my buy box with the following: and includes the current buy box.
- Review the result — Leave the chat so the Buy box page can reload and show the updated text when Lev Agent changed it.
The help icon beside the Lev Agent button says you can attach documents in chat before sending.
How the buy box affects fit
Screening compares each inbound opportunity with your buy box and recommends Accept, Needs Review, or Reject. Buy box factors on the Screen result use green for an approved factor, red for a rejected factor, and blue for a factor that needs review. The same mandate is what a prospect-fit question is asking about.
When sourcing suggestions are available, ask Does this contact fit my buy box? on a contact, or Does this company fit my buy box? on a company. Sourcing can also start from Find me sponsors that fit my buy box or Find me companies that fit my buy box. Those questions use the mandate you saved.
