Overview
Files added to a Vault become visible to external recipients who have access to that Vault. You can add files that are already on the Deal or upload new files directly into the Vault.
Add files from Deal Resources
Add Files that are already on the Deal into one or more Vaults at once.
- Open Deal Resources - Go to the Deal's Resources tab.
- Open Add to Shared Vault - Hover over the File you want to add and click Add to Shared Vault.
- Pick one or more Vaults - Select one or more Vaults. Click any already-selected Vault to remove the file from that Vault.
Add files from the Vault
Work inside a specific Vault to add files that already exist on the Deal.
- Open the Files Table - Go to the Vault and scroll down to the Files Table.
- Click Add Content - Choose Add Content above the Files Table.
- Pick files from the Deal - Click one or more files from the list. Click any already-selected file to remove it.
Upload files directly to a Vault
You can also upload new Files straight into a Vault.
- Open the Files Table - Go to the Vault and scroll down to the Files Table.
- Click Add Content - Choose Add Content above the Files Table.
- Upload Documents - Scroll to the very bottom of the file list and click Upload Documents.
Uploading to a Vault adds the file to the Deal and to All Files and shares it externally through the Vault.
Things to know
Adding a file to a Vault does not affect other Vaults on the Deal. Removing a file from a Vault does not remove it from the Deal. Removing a file from the Deal removes it from all Vaults on that Deal.
