Every Company you add to a Vault is given their own specific Link to access the Vault. This allows you to manage Files in one place, while managing granular access and permissions on a company-to-company basis.
When you add a lender to a Vault, you're granting them access to every file in that Vault — both the files already there and any you add in the future. Lev generates a unique link for that company. Adding them does not notify the lender or send the link automatically; it's up to you to include the link in your communications.
Each Vault link has its own access settings, such as public access, email-required access, or invite-only. You can update or revoke a lender's link access at any time.
Grant lender access to a Vault
There are two moments you grant access: while launching a deal, or any time after.
When launching a deal, the compose screen has a Vaults panel on the right where you pick which Vault each lender lands in. By default, the Deal Room Vault is selected — you can swap it, review the files inside, and adjust access and permission settings before sending.
If you launch a deal without interacting with the Vault section, lenders will be added to the "Deal Room" Vault with the Public Link setting. You can change this at any time. Currently Lev does not support adding different lenders to different Vaults during Bulk Outreach — to add lenders to different Vaults, launch them individually.
After outreach, you can grant a lender access to a Vault any time (they must already be on the deal):
Next to Lenders, click the + button. Choose a lender from the list — it shows every lender on the deal who isn't already on this Vault.
Edit their access and permission settings (public, email-required, or invite-only) and send them the link via email, bulk outreach, or manual copy.
The lender now has a unique link with the permissions you chose.
These are the ways you can send Vault Links to Lenders in Lev:
- Inserting a Vault Link when sending emails from Lev.
- Inserting a Vault Link during Bulk Outreach when launching a deal.
- Copying a Vault Link to send manually.
- Including a Vault Link as a Dynamic Variable in your Automated Followups.
Insert a Vault Link when writing emails
When sending emails to an individual Contact, or during Bulk Outreach, you can insert a Vault link from the Inputs dropdown. This variable accounts for the specific person(s) you are sending the email to, and which Vault(s) you've granted them access to, inserting the correct link automatically.
In the email composer, highlight the portion of the email where you'd like the Vault link to appear.
In the top-right of the composer, click the Inputs dropdown to see the full list of dynamic variables available.
From the list of Variables, select Vault Link. The correct link — based on which Vault(s) you shared with that Company on that specific Deal — resolves at send time.
When the email actually sends, Lev swaps in the correct Vault link for each recipient.
In the case that a Company has access to multiple Vaults on a single Deal, the dynamic Vault link will be a link to view all Vaults they have access to on the deal. Lev's recommendation is to limit companies to 1 vault per Deal, as it makes it much easier to manage File Access and send Links.
Copy a Vault Link manually
As noted above, each company is given a unique Link for a Vault in order to allow granular access and permission settings on a company-to-company level while managing Files once. Using the features above, Lev automatically inserts the correct link based on who you are reaching out to when sending emails. But you can copy and paste somebody's Vault Link at any time to share manually.

Pick the lender whose unique link you want to grab. Each one has a distinct URL scoped to their permissions.
Vault Links in automated followups
You can also include Vault Links in automated followups, and some automated followup templates include this link by default. If an automated followup has a Vault Link variable in the email body, it will insert the correct Vault Link for the person the email is being sent to.
Some important things to know:
- If the Template being used includes a Vault Link, and the message is being sent to a company without any Vaults, the message will not be sent.
- If the Template being used includes a Vault Link, and the message is being sent to a company with a Vault that has no files in it, the message will not be sent.
- If the Template being used includes a Vault Link, and the message is being sent to a company with access to multiple Vaults on the Deal, they'll be sent a link to view all of the Vaults.
