Introduction

Lev Memo provides a set of smart layout templates to help you easily structure content. Smart layouts let you create visually organized Memos without worrying about formatting and alignment.

What are Smart Layouts

Smart Layouts are pre-designed components that simplify content structuring and formatting. Whether you're creating different cards, comparables, or galleries, these templates keep your content polished without manual adjustments.

Add a smart layout

Via slash command or Insert menu

  1. Trigger the insert

Type /[smart layout name] on a slide, or open the Insert menu.

A list of smart layouts is visible.
  2. Choose your layout

Pick the desired smart layout from the list.

The smart layout is placed on the slide, pre-formatted.

By adding a new slide

  1. Insert a new slide

Click the + button to add a new slide below any slide.

    The template picker modal opens.
  2. Pick a Smart-Layout template

In the template modal, choose a template from Profiles or Content that includes a Smart Layout — for example Meet the Team, Statistics, Key Points, Icons with Text, or Images with Text.

A full slide is created using the chosen smart layout.

Edit a smart layout

Editing content inside a smart layout works the same way as editing it outside one.

  1. Click the component you want to edit

Click on the text, image, or table inside the layout section.

The text, image, or table is active and editable.
  2. Make your edits

    Perform any edits as needed.

Your changes are reflected in the layout.

Swap layouts

  1. Open the layout toolbar

Click the vertical dots menu on the layout you want to change.

The Smart Layout toolbar is visible.
  2. Swap to a new template

In the toolbar, the first option on the left lets you swap between smart layouts. Lev Memo adjusts the content for you.

Memo re-flows your content into the new layout automatically.

Style a smart layout

  1. Open the layout toolbar

Click the vertical dots menu on the layout you want to style.

    The styling toolbar is visible.
  2. Adjust the style controls

Use the styling toolbar to set:

    • Direction — cards arranged vertically or horizontally
    • Spacing — the space between cards
    • Padding — the margin within each card
    • Column Size — how wide each card is
    • Background Color — the card background
    • Shape — the shape of the card

You can also style each card individually.

The smart layout picks up your chosen styling.

FAQ

Why does my card not fill all the way?

The width of the cards depends on the column size setting. Play around with different options here to see what works best for your Memo!

What if I chose a layout I don't like?

You can easily switch to another template by opening the Smart Layout's toolbar (via the vertical dots menu in the top-left of any smart layout) and then choose a new template.
