Maps lets you build an interactive map centered around your deal’s asset. You create a Map from the Maps tab on each deal. After it’s created, the Map lives in the deal’s Resources tab. Maps can be inserted into any Memo you build. Maps help you show important aspects of the environment surrounding the property, such as nearby amenities or typically used transit routes, without the manual process of building the content yourself.
Creating a Map
When you create a Map, the deal’s asset is the only property shown. You can add amenities or points of interest, such as banks, airports, or gas stations. Specify the type of amenity and its desired proximity to the asset, and Lev automatically adds the closest match. You can also show transportation elements, such as transit routes or typical traffic levels on nearby roads.
Get started by selecting the Maps tab and clicking New Map.
- Name the Map — Enter a name for your Map.
- Add amenity pins — Click one of the pre-shown options at the top of the screen, or click the 3 dots on the right to choose additional amenity types.
- Adjust pin styling — Change visual elements of the pins, such as pin color or the shape of the connecting line.
- Add surrounding area elements — Toggle nearby transit routes, typical traffic levels, and other surrounding-area elements on or off from the bottom right of the map.
- Pick a layout type — Choose a layout type for your Map from the bottom right.
- Save your Map — Click Save in the top right when you've finished your edits.
- Publish the Map — Click Publish after saving. This tells Lev the Map can be included in any Memos on the same deal.
You can access your Map again by opening the Maps tab, or from the Resources tab on the deal.
Adding Maps to a Memo
Maps can be added to any Memo you created for the deal. After the Map has been inserted, you can edit the Map with the same functionality that you have in the Maps tab.
Start by clicking into one of your Memos.
- Add or select a slide — Add a new slide or select an existing slide.
- Open the content insertion tool — Click into the body of the slide to bring up the content insertion tool, then click + Add Item.
- Choose Map from Media — Scroll down to Media in the dropdown menu and select Map.
- Select the Map — Click the icon that appears and select the Map you want to include. This is especially helpful if you've created multiple Maps on the same deal.
- Edit the Map — Click the pencil icon in the bar above the Map to make edits. You can use the same editing tools here that you have in the Maps tab.
- Save your changes — Click Save in the top right when you're finished making edits.
Any changes you make to the Map within a Memo are reflected in the version that exists in the Maps tab. Keep this in mind when adjusting your Map from either location on the platform.
