Smart Templates let you save the format of a memo you like and reuse it when building future OMs, so you don't start from scratch each time. Templates are created from within a memo, and once saved they're available whenever you create a new memo. You can also create a template from an external document by uploading a PDF file.
Create a Smart Template
Start by opening the memo you want to use as a template.
- Save the memo as a template — Click save memo as template on the top right of the screen.
- Add name & description — Add a name and description for your template.
- Finish saving — Click save copy as template; your template can now be used when creating future OMs.
Use an external file
You can also build a Smart Template from an external file instead of previously created memos. Upload a PDF document with your team's design elements to model a new template off of. This gives you another option for building templates beyond your existing OMs. So you're not limited to memos you've already created in Lev.
- Open template management — In the memo editor tab, click your profile in the top right, then select Manage Templates.
- Start a new template — Click + New Template, then select Upload External Template.
- Choose your file — Select the file you want to model the new template off of.
- Add name & description — Name your new template and give it a description.
- Create the template — Click Create Template and let the platform build the draft.
- Save your template — Make any edits, then click Save Template.
PDF is currently the only supported file type for building Smart Templates from external documents.
