Custom pipelines

Learn how to create and manage Custom Pipelines so you can track deals using your firm's own terminology and statuses.

Updated June 2026

Custom Pipelines let you track your deals using the same language and wording your firm already uses outside of Lev. You can create a Custom Pipeline from the left side panel on the home page, or from the Pipelines tab in your account settings. Custom Pipelines let you leverage Lev's deal tracking tools while matching the same terminology you're already used to.

Creating & managing custom pipelines

To create a custom pipeline, start by clicking Create Pipeline from the left panel on the home page or the Pipelines tab in your Profile Settings.

  • Choose a template — Select the template that matches the type of deals this pipeline will track. You can also start from scratch.
  • Name the pipeline — Enter a name.
  • Set default values — Select a default deal type and a default deal role.
  • Add your statuses — Choose how many statuses to include and name each one.
  • Finish — Click Create pipeline, and the pipeline is ready to track deals.

You can change a pipeline's name, description, status names, and default deal role at any time after creating it. The default deal type is locked once you pick it and can't be changed later.

Pipeline templates

If you're not sure what to put in your Custom Pipelines, there are 8 pipeline templates you can choose from to help get started. Pick the template that matches the types of deals you want to track in the pipeline. All deals in this pipeline will have the same statuses you dictate when creating the pipeline. Each template comes with its own set of editable statuses and columns.

Columns are different deal-related values that are shown when looking at your pipeline in list view format. You can add a column for any field that has been populated from a deal in that pipeline, such as loan request amount, property type, or date launched.
