Email Integration lets you track emails related to your deals in both the Lev platform and your native email portal. Anytime you send or receive an email on a thread that's tracked in the platform, that email will also be shown in your native inbox. Connecting your email gives you full control of any deal-related outreach and helps you track all activity tied to each transaction.
Connect Gmail or Microsoft
- Open account settings — Click into your account settings in the top left of your screen. If you're logging in for the first time, you'll be shown a modal prompting you to connect your email as well.
- Open Connected accounts — Click Connected accounts, followed by connect email.
- Pick your access level — On the next screen, choose Full access or Limited access. Full access lets you track previous deals prior to integrating your email. Limited access only lets you track deals from this point onwards.
- Choose your provider — Choose to proceed with either a Google email handle or a Microsoft handle.
- Complete OAuth — Complete the following OAuth flow through your email provider to commence the integration process, and Lev will confirm once it has been completed.
If your mailbox disconnects, launches and inbound parsing stop until you reconnect. Click your profile (bottom-left) → Settings → Connected Account, then click Reauthorize next to your email and finish the provider flow.
Connect a custom email provider
The process is similar to connecting Gmail or Microsoft, but a few steps differ when you use a custom email provider.
- Go to Email Integration — Open the email integration page from account settings.
- Choose SMTP/IMAP — Click the SMTP/IMAP option. Your provider should already be prefilled.
- Open server information — Click the server information dropdown.
- Confirm host and port values — Confirm IMAP host and port and SMTP host and port are already filled in.
- Fill missing server values — If they're not filled in, go to your email provider domain settings and confirm the correct values.
- Enter your app password — Find the tab to generate an app password within your provider settings, then type that password into the field back in Lev.
- Finish the integration — Hit next and your email will be integrated.
