What is Index

Lev Index is your deal's structured data layer. It's a single place where extracted facts, metrics, and details live, ready to power every outreach and every document you generate.

Updated May 2026

Index is a database on every deal that organizes all the key information Lev has read, extracted, and stored about that deal. When you upload documents, Lev reads them and pulls out structured data including property details, financials, sponsor information, market statistics, and comparable transactions. That data lives in Index, labeled by where it came from, and ready to use.

Index is not a notes area or a general-purpose scratchpad. It is a structured record of your deal's facts — each field has a value, a source, and an edit history.

What is stored in index

Index organizes deal data into dedicated sections. Depending on the documents you upload and the deal type, you may see fields populated across:

  • Property — physical details, unit mix, square footage, year built, zoning, and more
  • Financials — income, expenses, NOI, cap rate, and other financial metrics
  • Sponsor — entity name, principals, track record, and contact details
  • Market — market statistics, vacancy rates, rent trends, and submarket details
  • Comparables — comparable transactions and lease comps

Each field shows a value and the source it came from, so your team always knows where a number originated.

How index powers document generation

Every document you generate from a deal in Lev pulls its values directly from Index. Offering memorandums, sponsor packages, investor summaries, and other Lev-generated documents are populated using exactly what you see in the Index tab.

This means the accuracy of your outputs depends on the quality of your Index data. When you review and verify values in Index, you are not just updating a record — you are controlling what goes into every document generated from that deal. A verified Index means clean, accurate outputs every time.

What Index is not

Index only contains data that has been explicitly uploaded or entered. Lev does not pull information from external databases, public records, or third-party sources to populate Index fields. Every value comes from a file you uploaded, a value you entered manually, or a connection your team set up. This keeps your deal data accurate, auditable, and fully in your control.
