Introduction
CRE documents carry a lot of data, so it's not uncommon to hit content overflow — when the amount of content exceeds the slide size. Lev Memo makes it easy to spot and fix.
What is content overflow?
Content overflow happens when content exceeds the designated slide size, which is fixed to the standard PowerPoint presentation format.
How to spot it
- A "Warning — content overflow detected" label appears on the top left of the slide.
- A yellow "Warning — content overflow detected" message appears on the slide with the overflow area greyed out.
Any overflowed content is cut off upon publish. That means anything shown to lenders on the dealroom and exported to PDF/PPT will be cut off.

Hidden line spaces
There might be a hidden empty line underneath your content that's causing overflow.
- Find the empty line
Click on the empty line in your slide.
The cursor is on the hidden empty line. - Delete it
Delete the empty line using the Backspace or Delete key.
The overflow warning clears.

Table text wrapping
Text line wrapping within a table may elongate it and cause overflow. Adjusting column widths usually resolves the issue.
- Find the wrapping column
Locate the column where a cell has multiple lines of text.
You've identified the column that's too narrow. - Resize the column
Use the column's ⋯ menu and choose Autosize column, or click the right border of the column and drag it to adjust manually.
The text fits on one line and the table no longer overflows.

Too many rows in a table
Sometimes the provided table was too dense for a single slide. You can delete rows or split them across a new slide.
Delete rows
Select the rows you want to delete and click the trash icon in the row's menu.
Copy rows to a new slide
- Select the rows to move
Pick the rows you want to copy off the current slide.
The rows are highlighted. - Cut them
Press Ctrl+X (PC) or Cmd+X (Mac).
The rows are on your clipboard. - Add a new slide
Add a new slide using the "+" icon below any slide.
A fresh slide is ready to receive the rows. - Paste
Paste the rows onto the new slide.
The rows land on the new slide, keeping their formatting.

Image too large
An image may be too large and exceed the slide size. Readjust to fix the overflow.
- Select the image
Click on the image that is too large.
The image's resize handles are visible. - Resize or delete
Drag the borders to resize, or delete the image entirely.
The slide fits without overflow.

Accent too large
Reducing the width of an accent creates more room for text and content.
- Grab the accent border
Click the border between the accent and the rest of the content.
You're resizing the accent region. - Drag to resize
Drag the border to readjust the accent size.
The slide fits without overflow.

Click on the text you want to edit.
The text block is active. - Trim it
Delete or edit the text as needed.
The overflow is resolved.
FAQ
Is there a way for me to publish without the overflow cutoff?
Unfortunately not today. All forms of publish are the fixed slide size.
