Templates and themes

Learn how to create Memo templates from your own files and build branded themes in Lev Studio.

Updated October 2026

Templates and themes let you build every Memo in your own format and brand. A template sets the deck's slides and layouts, and a theme sets its colors and fonts. You manage both in Studio, and Lev Agent asks you to pick one of each when it builds a Memo.

Creating a template

  • Open the Templates tab — Open Studio in the left sidebar, then select the Templates tab.
  • Start a new template — Click New template.
  • Name the template — Enter a Template name and an optional description.
  • Add reference files — Click Import from storage to pick decks from your company resources, or Upload files to add them from your computer.
  • Create the template — Click Create template.

Reference files must be PDF or PowerPoint files up to 50 MB each, with a maximum of five files. Lev builds the template in the background and marks it Ready when you can use it.

Managing template settings

Click a ready template to preview its slides and edit the settings Lev Agent uses when it builds a deck from it. Changes save automatically. Click Create deck from template to start a new Memo with it in Lev Agent.

  • Default theme — The theme Lev Agent selects when you choose this template.
  • When to use — A short description of the decks this template is for. This field is required.
  • Content skill — Markdown instructions for the content Lev Agent writes on each slide. Click Edit Markdown to change them.

Lev's built-in templates, such as the Debt OM and the BOV, appear in the chat template picker but not on the Templates tab, and you can't edit them.

Creating a theme

Create a theme to apply your brand colors and fonts to any template.

  • Open the Themes tab — In Studio, select the Themes tab.
  • Start a new theme — Click New theme.
  • Name the theme — Enter a Theme name and choose an existing theme under Start from.
  • Create the theme — Click Create theme to open the theme editor.
  • Set colors and fonts — Adjust the text, background, and accent colors, then choose a Heading font and a Body font.
  • Save the theme — Click Save changes.

Lev themes are read-only. To customize one, create a new theme and choose it under Start from.
