Lev Memo turns deal data and underwriting into a branded offering memorandum in minutes instead of days. This guide walks the five phases end-to-end.
Before you start
Memo is always opened from a deal on the Lev platform. Any of these three entry points opens the Create Memo flow — pick whichever matches where you are:
- From the new-deal flow. Create or open a deal, upload files, complete basic and financial information, then in Prepare Deal Package click Create Memo.
- From Suggested Next Steps. Open any deal and click Create Memo under Suggested Next Steps.
- From the Resources tab. Open the deal's Resources tab, click Add content (top right), then Create Memo.

Uploading source files as soon as you can starts document processing earlier and usually shortens the first generation. You can still add files later.
Pick the document shape Lev will fill in — the closest match means fewer edits later.

- Pick a template. Choose a pre-built template or Blank — for example Debt Financing Offering Memorandum, Deal Summary / Teaser, or Blank.
- Set asset class and loan type if prompted. If Memo asks, fill in the deal's asset class and loan type so sections reference the right context.
- Confirm the template. Click through to the upload step once the template is selected.
More templatesAvailable types evolve over time. If you need another product type, tell your Lev team what you want to generate next.
You're on the Memo upload step with your chosen template applied.Feed Memo the source material it needs to draft a structured outline.

- Review files pulled from the deal. Files already on the deal are pulled in automatically — confirm the list looks complete.
- Add anything missing. Upload sources & uses, underwriting model, T-12 / rent roll / budget, photos and plans, and market studies directly on this screen.
- Click Generate Memo. Memo drafts the outline — expect a couple of minutes.
Stronger inputsBetter uploads yield better Memos. Especially helpful: sources & uses, underwriting model, T-12 / rent roll / budget, photos and plans, and market studies.
You land on the outline editor with sections pre-populated from your files. This is where your edits have the most leverage — bullets in the outline steer every slide Memo builds.

- Review section titles and bullets. Read through every section and rewrite anything that's off — narrative sections like investment highlights matter most.
- Add or remove sections. Insert what's missing and drop sections that don't fit this deal.
- Click Build Memo. Lev generates the full deck — expect 5–10 minutes.
Outline drives the deckBullets in the outline guide each slide. Time spent here saves rework in the editor.
You have a fully generated Memo open in the editor.Polish slides, branding, and layout before anyone sees the Memo.
Content- Refine text and layout. Edit copy, reorder slides, and adjust tables and images so each page reads well on its own.
Branding- Apply branding. Open Theme Settings to update colors, fonts, and logos.
Final check- Preview the deck. Use Preview to click through like a presentation — catch overflow, broken tables, and awkward pacing before publish.
