Meet Lev Agent
Lev Agent is your AI teammate for getting work done across deals, files, and contacts — without leaving Lev. It lives at the top of your homepage so it's the first thing you see after logging in, and it can answer questions about your portfolio, surface insights, help you create deals, and explain how Lev itself works.
Whether you're checking on pipeline health, kicking off a new deal, or trying to remember how a feature works, you can just ask.
Choosing what the Agent does — the Agent & Auto dropdowns
The two dropdowns at the bottom-right of the prompt — Agent and Auto — let you steer what kind of help you're getting and how it's generated.
The Agent dropdown dictates the type of help:
- Agent — Your AI assistant for deal tasks and portfolio questions. Use this when you want the Agent to actually do work — answer questions about your deals, summarize your pipeline, create records, or pull data.
- Help — Get answers about how to use Lev. Use this when you have a "how do I…" question about the product itself.
- Tour — A guided walkthrough of whatever page you're currently on. Use this when you want to learn what's in front of you, in context.
The Auto dropdown lets you choose the model behind the response. Today it's set to Auto, which picks the right model for your task automatically. In the future, you'll be able to pick a specific model — Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6, GPT-5.4, or GPT-5.3 Instant — depending on whether you want speed or deeper reasoning.
Most of the time you should leave Auto alone and just pick the right option from the Agent dropdown. The model picker is mainly there for when you want fine-grained control over speed vs. depth on a specific task.
Asking the Agent a question
The simplest way to use Lev Agent is to just ask it a question. The home prompt accepts natural-language questions about your portfolio, your deals, and Lev itself.
The more specific your question, the better the answer. What's the status of my bridge deals over $20M? beats what's going on in my pipeline?
- Type your question into the prompt at the top of the homepage, or click one of the suggested starter prompts.
- The Agent pulls from your deals, files, contacts, and transaction history to answer — and links to the source records so you can click through to verify.
- Follow-ups stay in context: ask what about last quarter? and it'll know what you're referring to.
More Agent workflows
Here are some additional workflows that the Agent is built to handle today:
- Deal creation — Describe a new opportunity in plain English and the Agent will create the deal with the right fields populated.
- Lender outreach metrics — Ask the Agent for outreach stats on a specific deal or across your pipeline.
- Market research — Ask the Agent for color on submarkets, asset classes, or recent rate trends and it'll return a structured answer pulling from current data.
- Questions about Lev and how to use it — Switch the Agent dropdown to Help and ask for guidance on any Lev feature.
- Don't paste sensitive credentials. The Agent doesn't need passwords, API keys, or banking details.
- Fresh data may take a moment. If you just created a deal in the standard UI, give the Agent a few seconds to index it before asking about it.
- Scope matters. The Agent can only see data you have access to. If you're missing a deal or contact, check your permissions before assuming the Agent missed it.
