**Maps** lets you build an interactive map centered on your deal's asset. You create a Map from the deal's *Resources* tab, where it stays alongside your other deal files. Maps help you show important aspects of the environment surrounding the property, such as nearby amenities or typically used transit routes, without the manual process of building the content yourself. Export a Map as an image to share it or to add it to a Memo.

## Creating a Map {#creating-a-map}

When you create a Map, the deal's asset is the only property shown. You can add amenities or points of interest, such as banks, airports, or gas stations. Pick a category and how many places you want, and Lev adds the closest matches. You can also show transportation elements, such as transit routes or typical traffic levels on nearby roads.

Get started on the deal's *Resources* tab.

- **Start the Map** — Click *Add content*, then *Create map*. If the deal doesn't have a property yet, add one when prompted, then click *Create map*.
- **Name the Map** — Click *Untitled map* at the top of the screen and enter a name.
- **Add amenity pins** — Click one of the category options at the top of the screen, or search for a place or address. Click *More ways to add pins* for additional amenity types.
- **Adjust pin styling** — Change the *Pin style*, *Pin artwork*, and *Pin theme*, and the style, shape, and color of the connecting lines.
- **Add surrounding area elements** — Turn *Traffic*, *Transit*, *Satellite*, and map labels on or off from *Map layers*, and show or hide the legend.
- **Save your Map** — Click *Save* in the top right when you've finished your edits.

You can access your Map again from the deal's *Resources* tab, or from the *Projects* tab in Studio.

  You can also click *Create map* in Studio to have Lev Agent build a Map for you in chat.

## Exporting a Map {#exporting-a-map}

Export a Map to copy or download it as an image, or to add the image to the deal's Resources so you can share it in a Vault.

- **Open the export options** — Click *Export* in the top right of the Map.
- **Set the image size** — Choose the *Dimensions*, *Orientation*, and *Resolution* for the image.
- **Export the image** — Click *Copy* or *Download* to get a PNG, or click *Add to resources* to save the image to the deal.

  When you edit a Map and click *Add to resources* again, Lev replaces the existing image on the deal instead of adding a second copy.

## Adding Maps to a Memo {#adding-maps-to-a-memo}

Lev Agent doesn't add Maps to Memos yet. To include one, download the Map as an image and place it in your deck in PowerPoint.

- **Download the Map** — Click *Export* on the Map, then click *Download*.
- **Download your Memo** — Open the Memo in Studio, click *More options*, then select *Download*.
- **Insert the Map** — Open the deck in PowerPoint and insert the image on the slide you want, such as the location overview.
- **Upload the deck** — On the deal's *Resources* tab, click *Add content*, then *Upload files*.

  The Map in your Memo is an image, so later changes to the Map don't carry over. Export the Map again and replace the image in the deck. For more on editing in PowerPoint, see [Editing a Memo](/learn/studio/editing-a-memo#editing-in-powerpoint).
