# Data Privacy

> At Lev, we believe privacy is a fundamental right—and that your data belongs to you, period. We're custodians, not owners. Every decision we make about data handling starts from this principle: you should always remain in control of your information.

Our Principles

We operate under four core privacy principles:

  **Privacy Principles**

- **ownership:** You maintain ownership of your data at all times. We're processors, not owners. When you leave Lev, you can request an export of your Customer Data and request deletion. We use commercially reasonable efforts to delete Customer Data from our production systems within 30 days, subject to limited legal and backup retention and de-identified/aggregated data.
- **minimization:** We only collect data necessary to provide our services. We don't collect data for speculative future uses.
- **purpose:** Your data is only used for the purposes you authorized—powering your deal workflows and the features you choose to use.
- **transparency:** No surprises. We tell you what we collect, how we use it, and who can access it. This Trust Center is part of that commitment.

  Data We Collect

We collect data necessary to provide our services. The main categories are:

For complete details on data collection, see our [Privacy Policy](/learn/privacy-policy).

  How We Use Your Data

  Primary Uses

  Your data is used to:

  Data Sharing Between Customers

Lev provides value partly through network intelligence. Here's how data may be used across the platform:

    | Category | What's shared | What's protected |
    |----------|---------------|------------------|
    | **Lender profiles** | Aggregated feedback from interactions | Your specific deal details, terms, identity |
    | **Market intelligence** | Anonymized/redacted terms for market comps | Your identity, specific property details |
    | **Pulse items** | General lender behavior patterns | Your specific communications |

**Note:** This sharing is covered in our Terms and Conditions. We anonymize and aggregate data before any cross-customer use.

  What We Don't Do

    We **never**:

    - Sell your personal information
    - Share identified data with advertisers
    - Use your data to train AI models (our providers don't either)
    - Access your email for purposes unrelated to the platform
    - Share your contact lists with other customers

  Email Integration

Lev's email integration allows you to connect your work email to streamline deal communications.
We've designed it with privacy in mind—we only access emails related to deals launched through our platform.

For complete details on how email integration works, what data we access, security measures, and configuration options,
see the dedicated [Email Integration](/learn/trust/email-data-handling) page.

  Your Rights

You have rights over your data. Here's how to exercise them:

  **Your Rights**

- **access:** Request a copy of your data — We'll respond within 14 days
- **deletion:** Request deletion of your data — We'll process within 30 days
- **correction:** Update inaccurate information — Self-serve in platform or contact support
- **portability:** Export your data — Contact privacy@lev.com
- **questions:** Ask about our practices — Email privacy@lev.com

    **How to make a request:**

    Email: [privacy@lev.com](mailto:privacy@lev.com)

    Include:
    - Your name and email associated with your account
    - What you're requesting (access, deletion, etc.)
    - Any specific data you're asking about

We'll verify your identity and respond within the timelines above.

  Subprocessors

We use third-party services to provide Lev. Each has access to some customer data.
See [Subprocessors](/learn/subprocessors) for the complete list.

**Key categories:** Infrastructure (AWS), Authentication (Auth0), AI Processing (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google),
