**Leads Pipelines** let you track the progress of the companies and contacts you're currently prospecting. The difference between a Leads Pipeline and a standard pipeline is the type of entity each one tracks: Leads Pipelines monitor prospects, while standard pipelines track deals. Keeping prospects in their own pipeline means you can monitor your deals and your prospecting efforts separately.

## Creating a Leads Pipeline {#creating-a-leads-pipeline}

There are two kinds of Leads Pipelines to choose from: a **company leads pipeline** tracks prospects at the company-wide level, and a **contact leads pipeline** tracks them at the individual contact level. To get started, click the three dots next to *Pipelines* on the left side of the platform, then click *+ New pipeline*.

- **Choose a starting point** — Pick a template, or choose to build the pipeline manually.
- **Set the entity type** — Select *Contacts* or *Companies*.
- **Set your statuses** — Add custom statuses, or edit the ones carried over from the template.
- **Create the pipeline** — Click *Create pipeline*.
- **Add entities** — Add companies or contacts to the pipeline manually from the CRM tab, or by asking the Lev agent.
- **Move entities through your statuses** — Update each entity's status based on where it stands in your prospecting process.

Statuses can only be changed manually in a Leads Pipeline. In Kanban View, drag the entity directly to the next stage. In List view, check the box next to the entity's name, then click *Change status* in the modal at the bottom of your screen.

## Leads Pipeline filters {#leads-pipeline-filters}

Like standard pipelines, Leads Pipelines have filters that narrow down which entities you're viewing progress for. Leads Pipelines carry their own set of filters, geared toward the companies and contacts you're prospecting. The list of available filters is shown below:

- **Contact/Company owner** — The member of your team who owns the entity in the CRM.
- **Company** — Specific companies, or all contacts that fall under a specific company.
- **Contact/Company type** — The entity type, such as brokers, lenders, or sponsors and buyers.
- **Labels** — These will match the labels already assigned to entries in the CRM.
- **Past Deal** — Entries associated with a specific deal, or any deal matching a specific state, asset type, sub-asset type, loan type, or placement status.
- **Added by** — The team member who added the company or contact to the pipeline.
- **Added date** — The day the company or contact was added to the pipeline.
- **Sort** — Lists each entry alphabetically, or by the date it was added to the pipeline.
