Tracking activity on the platform related to contacts

While you can manually edit some information related to each contact, there are a few fields that will be automatically updated based on activity on the platform related to each contact.

- **Notes** — Add notes manually by typing them directly into the contact's **Notes** tab.
- **Emails** — Any emails sent to this contact related to deals on the platform will automatically populate on the **Emails** tab.
- **Deals** — Any deals tracked on Lev and sent to this contact will appear on the **Deals** tab.

Using contact filters & labels

When viewing your contacts in list view, you can use the filter button in the top left of the page to further refine your contacts.

You can use filters related to the contacts themselves, such as contact type or contact location. You can also use deal-related filters — for example, to see all contacts that have been sent multifamily deals.

You can also use contact [labels](/learn/crm/using-labels), which allow you to incorporate customized tracking fields that you use in workflows off the platform. For more on contact labels, check out our dedicated **[Labels](/learn/crm/using-labels)** article.
